TEKsystems’ History
TEKsystems began in 1994 as a leading provider of IT staffing services to clients throughout North America and Europe.
In the years following, a series of mergers catalyzed significant growth within the scope of services offered by TEKsystems. The first merge occurred in 1997 when Aerotek Data Services Group joined TEKsystems to offer staffing and managed services.
Another significant merger occurred in 2002 when sister companies Maxim Group and TEKsystems united as the nation's largest single-source provider of Information Technology staff augmentation services.
The combined entity operated as TEKsystems to offer applications, IT infrastructure, and telecommunications services, while maintaining the company's original emphasis on IT strategic staffing.
Today, TEKsystems continues to grow while maintaining its dedication to providing high quality IT staffing and services. TEKsystems is an operating company of Allegis Group, founded in 1983, and parent company to Aerotek, Stephen James Associates, Allegis Group Services, and other leading organizations.
